Body surgery

Body surgery includes procedures that remove excess skin and fat or reshape the body contour. These are often considered after significant weight change or pregnancy, or as part of personal goals. Whether a procedure suits you depends on your health, anatomy and goals, and is decided together at consultation. Each option carries risks and a recovery period, and results vary from person to person.

Procedures are provided to adults (18+) following individual consultation and assessment. This page is general information only and is not a substitute for medical advice. Results vary between individuals and no specific outcome is promised.

Body procedures

The procedures below are described in general terms. Which, if any, suits you is a clinical decision made together at consultation, after assessing your health, anatomy and goals. Photographs of past results are not shown here, but relevant examples can be reviewed privately, with your consent, at an appointment.

01
Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)

Removes excess abdominal skin and fat and, where needed, repairs separated abdominal muscles. Often considered after pregnancy or weight change. It involves scarring and a recovery period, both explained in detail beforehand.

02
Post-weight-loss body contouring

After major weight loss, surgery can remove loose, excess skin from areas such as the abdomen, arms or thighs. The approach is planned individually and may involve more than one stage.

03
Liposuction

Removes localised deposits of fat to refine the contour of specific areas. It is not a weight-loss procedure, and suitability and likely outcomes are assessed individually.

Important to understand

Risks, recovery and expectations

01
All surgery carries risk

General risks of surgery and anaesthesia, as well as risks specific to the procedure being considered, are explained in detail and in writing before any decision is made.

02
Recovery takes time

Body surgery involves a recovery period that differs between individuals. You receive guidance on what to expect, activity restrictions and aftercare, with follow-up appointments to support healing.

03
Scarring is part of surgery

Body procedures involve incisions and resulting scars, which can be extensive depending on the procedure. Scars settle over time but remain permanent, and their likely position is discussed beforehand.

04
Results vary

Outcomes depend on individual factors and no specific result can be promised. In some cases, further or revision procedures may be needed. These possibilities are discussed openly.

Consultation
